Hello Fellow Optimists,
Welcome to the new 2024/2025 optimist year. I am very honored and excited to start this new year as the Governor for CENON, an amazing District, and I am looking forward to this challenge. I believe that with positive thoughts, hard work, and determination, we can accomplish great things.
Congratulations to Ralph who did a great job and had a wonderfully successful year with our District finishing in 4th place. And our Region finished in 1st place led by our talented VP Tom Kendo who is also the President Elect for Optimist International. I hope to continue the momentum for our District and help to nurture us to another awesome year! Let us keep moving the District forward with an optimistic outlook bursting with hope and confidence for the future!
Each person has an integral role to play as we forge ahead. I am particularly excited to work with my wonderfully talented team and OI President Jan Oord Graves. You will be hearing from us a lot, as we believe communication, planning and sharing is the key to our success!
My themes will be “Breaking the Ice with Optimism” and “Driving Membership Forward” with a polar bear theme and a mascot named Glacier. For me, the polar bear has a significant sacred meaning as a symbol of strength and fortitude. Our community projects each quarter will be focusing on support for mental health.
I look forward to working with everyone in this outstanding District!
